So the venue and date are booked

Now you need a photographer – but what kind?

Are you looking for an editorial fashion-style wedding photographer, who's friendly, affordable, with a great eye and will capture you and your guests perfectly?

Great, that's how I roll.

I work in many parts of London including Stoke Newington, Hackney, Highbury, Islington, Crouch End, Hampstead, Highgate and Chelsea. Let me know if you're interested, even if farther afield.

I provide a down-loadable digital image gallery and print shop

for you and your wedding guests

“Nicola was both fun and professional. We're thrilled with the results and were very happy that she was able to join us to shoot our wedding at such short notice. Definitely recommended.”

I offer editorial wedding photography which means I do direct you in certain moments, unlike a documentary photographer, but in a way that looks natural rather than overly posed. I tell your wedding story as it unfolds, through visual narrative. I aim to be unobtrusive and in the right place at the right time to capture all the excitement, nerves and laughter of the big day. I will give a small amount of direction, as and when needed, and family group shots are always important, too, but I recommend no more than about ten.

I enjoy capturing those magical, sometimes quirky moments which express the spirit of you and your guests. It may be the bride's glance in the mirror while getting ready, the best man dabbing the groom’s brow, a bridesmaid’s smile across the aisle, or Grandma grinning through her champagne flute.

Between the ceremony and reception, after your group shots, we can take a short break from your guests to do some bride-and-groom photography where I capture you interacting naturally with just a little bit of prompting. Depending on the location we could walk through an East London market capturing the buzz, eat an ice cream, sashay over a zebra crossing or go to the park

I like to think I'm a pretty relaxed, friendly person and so hopefully that will ease any nerves you may feel. I find talking to you during the getting-ready part really helps you feel at ease in front of the camera, and I also try to blend in and become part of the party at the reception.

I love the editing process as much as the photography itself, and the days spent subtly retouching your images to create the polished look you see here in my work. I aim to have the images ready for you within four weeks, so not long after you get home from honeymoon. Photobooks will take a little longer, depending on how busy the wedding season.
