“The photos from our wedding are truly beautiful and capture our special day. perfectly. We would highly recommend Nicola to anyone for their wedding day, she was extremely professional and utilised the space and timings for each location very well. She coped with my demanding family and worked hard whilst remaining calm and friendly!”
THANK YOU FOR DROPPING BY!
I'm an affordable London wedding photographer covering the areas of Stoke Newington, Hackney, Clapton, Islington, Walthamstow, Marylebone and Chelsea. I've been a portrait photographer for over twenty years and photographing weddings for the last ten. I'm based in Stoke Newington, in Hackney, London where I live with my husband and two teenage girls. It's well-known for its wonderful Clissold Park and Stoke Newington Church Street with St Mary's Church, Abney Park Cemetery Nature reserve and the numerous independent shops, bars and restaurants.
Stoke Newington Town hall is a very popular place to get married in Hackney and holds many weddings all year round, with the reception party often being held in one of the local gastro pubs. The Londesborough being one, is very a popular wedding venue. It has great food and provides a very professional service with a cool vibe - I'm always super excited to be photographing a wedding here. Clissold House within the park itself, is another popular place for your ceremony and reception - I've enjoyed photographing many weddings here too. The grand scale of the high ceilings and windows provide beautiful light for your ceremony and you're already in the grounds for wedding photography with your guests.
I also photograph weddings at Hackney Town Hall near to London Fields, Broadway Market and the Regent's canal, giving lots of interesting locations for wedding photography.
Islington Town Hall is another wonderful venue near me, on vibrant Upper Street - check out @Say I do Islington on Instagram for weddings here.
Walthamstow Town Hall in North East london is also a super cool place to get married, being a striking art deco listed building with plenty of space for a large number of guests.
Heading West, I also photograph weddings at Old Marylebone Town hall and Chelsea Old Town Hall, both wonderful iconic venues with so much glamour and history. Many well-known celebrities have said their vows here.

“We couldn't have been happier after commissioning Nicola for our wedding photography. From the initial meeting to the actual wedding day and after, Nicola was a dream to deal with. On the day she blended into the background and captured the most beautiful images that really captured the essences of our guests and the day. The final package of images was absolutely stunning - we were absolutely thrilled with them. We can not thank Nicola enough - and just to add she is a lovely person too.”
I offer natural. storytelling style wedding photography which means I will direct you in certain moments, like during your couple portraits unlike a documentary photographer, but I do it with prompts, that keeps it natural rather than overly posed. I tell your wedding story as it unfolds, through visual narrative. I aim to be unobtrusive and in the right place at the right time to capture all the excitement, nerves and laughter of the big day. I will give a small amount of direction, as and when needed, and family group shots are always important, too, but I recommend no more than about ten.
I enjoy capturing those magical, quirky moments which express the spirit of your day. It might be your crazy bridesmaid, your novel transportation to the ceremony, the best man dabbing the groom’s brow, a bridesmaid’s smile across the aisle, or Grandma grinning through her champagne flute.
At a time to suit, we can take a break from your guests for some bride-and-groom portraits where I can capture you interacting naturally with just a little bit of prompting. Depending on the location we could walk through an East London market capturing the buzz, or you could be eating an ice cream by the canal, sashay over a zebra crossing or hanging out in the local park.
I like to think I'm a pretty relaxed, friendly person and so hopefully that will ease any nerves you may feel. I find talking to you before the day and during the getting-ready part really helps you to feel at ease in front of the camera, and I also try to blend in and become part of the party at the reception so your guests feel relaxed with me too.
I love the editing process as much as the photography itself, and the days spent afterward subtly retouching your images to create the polished look you see here in my work. I aim to have the images ready for you within six weeks, although sometimes eight in peak summer. Photobooks will take a little longer, as the layout needs to be designed and approved by you, before printing. Expect your A4 50-page photo book to be completed in September/October for summer weddings.

“Nicola was the photographer for our wedding. She was very professional and helpful. She went out of her way to make everything work well, like she arrived at church early and photographed guests and the groom before the wedding and even bought the confetti for the after wedding pictures, amazing!
I was a bit nervous at the beginning, but she made it a lot easier for me to be able to relax in front of the camera. Thanks so much Nicola, we really appreciate your help and the photos look fabulous!”
