Hey, I'm Nicola
As you've gathered, I'm a photographer living in Stoke Newington, Hackney. I have twenty years experience under my belt - I'm also a mum of two teenage girls (yeah, I know, right – it's like living with ravenous, nocturnal magpies). So rest assured, if booking me for a family shoot, or a wedding with small people darting this way and that, I've been to Motherland. Not just watched it on telly.
Recently I reflected on the crazy similarities between having a toddler and a teenager. Both have bedroom floors scattered with sharp or sticky obstacles that hinder a parent's path to locate dirty laundry and half-eaten food. Both age groups are also ruled by powerful emotions, swinging from laughter to tears in a second. And that's all before bedtime.
Are you still with me? Luckily, I have a calm, friendly manner and the patience of a saint (yeah, right, Mum!). Which hopefully comes in useful when photographing tricky babies, teens . . . and sometimes the "grown-ups".
