Couple Photography in London
Love looks different for everyone. I am here to photograph yours, whatever it looks like.
This session is not just for couples planning a wedding. It is for anyone who wants nice photographs of themselves with the person they love. Newly together, years in, celebrating an anniversary, or just fancying a reason to get out and spend an afternoon doing something a bit different. All completely valid.
I do not do awkward poses. I will not make you gaze into each other's eyes on a hill. What I do instead is suggest a walk, find a good location, and let you do your thing while I hang back and look for the real stuff. The joke that makes one of you properly laugh. The way you look at each other when you think nobody is watching. That is what I am after.
Who this is for
Couples of all ages and all situations. Pre-wedding shoots for people who want to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. Anniversary portraits. Photographs as a gift. Couples with dogs, who are entirely welcome and usually steal the show just a little bit.
One practical note on pre-wedding shoots: summer weekend availability gets tight quickly because of weddings. Get in touch early if you have a particular date in mind.

Where we shoot
Across London, wherever suits you both. Clissold Park is practically on my doorstep. The canals and marshes around Hackney are beautiful. The backstreets of Stoke Newington and Dalston have real character. If you have a favourite spot, or somewhere that means something to you as a couple, let us go there.
How long and what you get
Sessions are usually 60-90 minutes. Long enough to relax into things and move between a couple of locations, not so long that it becomes a whole expedition. Most people feel slightly awkward for the first ten minutes and completely at ease by the end. I am very used to this and quite good at helping it along.
You will receive a private online gallery of fully edited, high-resolution images with download and printing rights, usually delivered within about three weeks. No paywalls, no upsells. Just your pictures.
A few practical things
Wear something you actually feel good in. Not necessarily dressed up, just comfortable and you. Bring a layer if the weather is unpredictable. If you have a dog who photographs well and can be trusted not to chase squirrels for the entire session, bring them. If you have a favourite coffee shop you want to end up at, let us plan the route accordingly.
The session is meant to be enjoyable. Most people are nervous at the start and completely fine by the end. I am genuinely good at helping people relax in front of a camera, and I have had twenty-plus years of practice.
About me
I am Nicola, based in Stoke Newington. I have been photographing people for over twenty years and I genuinely love portrait sessions like this. Weddings are wonderful but there is something particularly nice about a session that is just about the two of you, with no timeline pressure and nowhere to be. I find that people are usually more themselves in that environment, and the photographs reflect it.

A romantic 60-90-minute shoot of your own design – maybe at one of London's famous parks, for example the grand Hyde Park or Regent's Park, or atmospheric Battersea Park; at a nature reserve such as Walthamstow Marshes; or taking in some of London's landmarks.
Shoot includes an online gallery of edited, high-resolution images for you to download and share with loved ones.
